Hello Everyone,
My name is Pat Hooper and I've kindly been asked to do a weekly blog of what's going on at The Leg Up Project so here we go.....
It's Friday and we can look back on another great week here at The Leg Up Project.
Monday was the start of our new 10 week performance and wellbeing coaching sessions brought to us by the founder of The Leg Up Project Kev Bland.
It was nice to see regular and new faces on Monday.
Ashby Blokes Chat were well represented on Monday and are very welcome along with Lisa Emery who's a regular on our Thursday walks and so nice to see joining us, I know you'll all get so much from this course.
If it's something you think might interest you grab yourself a ticket from the link below and come next Monday and see what we're all about.
Also this week we've made a start on a new project that will be available soon for learning bushcraft, sleeping out, cooking outdoors and getting out into the woods with The Woodland Project, watch this space for more updates along the way........
Thursday saw us out on our regular weekly walk.
It's a steady 5K - 7K walk with a positive, friendly and supportive group of men and ladies that meet up every week at 6.30pm.
If this sounds like you're cup of tea then grab yourself a ticket, fill out the declaration form if it's your first time and turn up with your walking boots & waterproofs and have a great laugh and chat with us.
Leg Up Legend
Everyone that gets involved with The Leg Up Project are loved, supported and helped along the way but sometimes people shine and you can see them changing their mindset, their physical activity and have courage, determination and resilience and for that there is going to be a highlight on The Leg Up Project's weekly Legend.
This week's Leg Up Legend is...........(Drum roll please)...... Hayley Sullivan!
On this Thursday's walk Hayley absolutely smash it with her determination, grit and the willingness to improve, and believe me she has!
A regular now on the walks Hayley has improved her physical and mental wellbeing week by week and she loves it.
She said it's improved her physical and mental wellbeing at work and her improvements over the last few months has been outstanding!
Well done Hayley Sullivan our first weekly Leg Up Legend 👊
Have a great weekend everyone and we'll all catch up again next week.
Big Love.
Pat
